Signing verification documents using eKYC

Signing eKYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) is a form of electronic signature that uses identity verification technology through photographing identification documents and facial recognition.

Types of identification documents

The feature allows the identification of various types of identification documents in Vietnam for identity verification, including:

  • ID Card:
    • Old type 9 digits
    • New type 12 digits
  • Citizen ID:
    • Barcode
    • Chip embedded
  • Passport
  • Military ID, including:
    • Officer ID
    • Professional soldier ID

Input image standards

  • Input image: Original photo, no scans or photocopies.
  • Image format: JPG, JPEG, PNG.
  • The image must clearly show all four corners or all key components of the document:
    • Picture
    • National emblem
    • Title
    • Seal
  • The image must not have:
    • Corner cuts
    • Peeling
    • Hole punches
    • Detachment
    • Reassembly in a torn state
    • Missing part of the border
  • Clarity: Information fields must be easy to read, not erased, and not blurred.
  • Size: Must not exceed 5MB and a minimum resolution of approximately 600 x 900 pixels to ensure accurate reading ratios.

Signing eKYC Documents

Steps to perform:

  • Step 1: Access one or more documents awaiting "eKYC Sign"
  • Step 2: Confirm the content in the document and legal terms
  • Step 3: Select the type of identification for verification
  • Step 4: Take a photo of the front of the document
  • Step 5: Take a photo of the back of the document.
  • Step 6: Capture a portrait of the document owner
  • Step 7: Confirm eKYC results
  • Step 8: Perform OTP verification via email/SMS
Note:
  • Documents: For "Passport" and "Driver's License", the back does not need to be photographed.
  • eKYC verification:
    • The device must have a camera and permissions enabled for verification.
    • From the second verification onwards, photographing both sides of the document may depend on each company's configuration. If verification information is stored, only face verification is required.
  • OTP Code:
    • The code will be sent via the method set by the user in the Account Management.
    • Step 8 may be skipped depending on whether the user has enabled two-factor authentication.
